We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and check. If your check is not honored a $25 fee will be charged. Checks may be sent

RATES
Prices are land only and do not include international airfare to or from the US. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, and prices are subject to change without notice. On-tour transportation is included as indicated on each program. Prices are guaranteed upon receipt of deposit.
Single rates on private safaris are based on a minimum of 2 travelers travelling together.
We can book international air for you at an additional cost. If you purchase international airfare, airline taxes, fuel surcharges and government-imposed
fees are included and your fare is guaranteed upon receipt of deposit. For information on baggage fees please visit your airline’s website. Within Africa,
lower baggage limits apply. Seat assignments are not available on all airlines and are subject to fees and change without notice. Flight schedules may change without notice. Foreign departure taxes cannot always be prepaid and will be charged at the airport upon departure.
Gratuities for trip leaders, guides and drivers are not included and are at your discretion.
GUEST INFORMATION
TSA requires passengers to provide first and last name exactly as it appears on their passport, date of birth and gender at the time of booking. Your passport number and its date and place of issue may also be required for certain tours. Documents are sent 21 days prior to departure and cannot be released until full payment and the Guest Information form have been received.
VISA & PASSPORT INFORMATION
Your passport must be valid for 6 months after your return to the U.S. It is each traveler’s responsibility to obtain any required visas. We are not responsible for delayed processing of visas and passports by Consular offices and normal cancellation charges will apply.
Visas are required for U.S. citizens traveling to Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Uganda and should
be secured prior to travel. Visas are required for U.S. citizens traveling to Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia and may be secured upon arrival. South Africa requires 2 facing and completely blank visa pages in your passport at the time of each entry. Please consult our website for complete details.
DEPOSIT
A deposit of $600/person is due within 7 days
of booking, with the exception of Botswana,
Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rovos Rail, Uganda and Custom programs which all require $1500/person. Reservations made less than 121 days prior to travel require full payment and passport information at time of booking.
FINAL PAYMENT
Final payment is due 90 days prior to travel with exceptions; Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rovos Rail, Uganda and Custom programs require full payment at 120 days prior to travel.
CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES
Cancellations for Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rovos Rail, Uganda and Custom programs are subject
to penalties of $1500/person plus airline cancellation penalties up to 121 days, 50% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties up to 91 days, and 100% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties
if canceled later than 90 days. All other programs
are subject to penalties of $600/person plus airline cancellation penalties up to 91 days, 50% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties up to 61 days, and 100% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties if canceled later than 60 days prior to travel. A minimum $50 fee will be charged for any change made to your itinerary. Changes are considered canceled services and additional cancellation penalties may apply. Changes are subject to additional airline or hotel charges based on availability and may incur airline-imposed fees. Changes from double to single occupancy incur a single supplement.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any departure for any reason. If we cancel, we will refund the amount received; try to rebook the same tour on
a different departure date; or rebook a similar tour. We cannot assume responsibility for any additional costs or any fees relating to air tickets or other travel arrangements not made by us.
A minimum of 2 passengers is needed for a guaranteed departure to travel.
CHANGES TO OUR PROGRAMS
2017 hotels and itineraries may differ from the 2018 programs presented in this brochure. We will make every effort to operate tours as disclosed in this brochure, but circumstances beyond our control may arise which require modification of itineraries, hotel substitution, changes in transportation, inclusions or staff accompanying the trip. We will avoid such changes when we can but reserve the right to make modifications.
ON TOUR TRAVELS
There is no smoking on any transportation. Disabilities requiring special attention must be reported when making reservations. We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate special needs but cannot provide individual assistance. We are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, and other independent suppliers. Tours require walking over uneven surfaces and you assume responsibility for your personal safety. Activities, lodges, and camps may require a signed liability waiver.
RESPONSIBILITY
Alexander+Roberts packages and operates these programs solely as an independent contractor. The tour services described in this brochure, including without limitation transportation, lodging, and sightseeing, are provided by the carrier, hoteliers,
and other suppliers that are independent contractors and not our agents, employees, partners, or joint venturers. We issue tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents for such services merely as an agent
for the companies that furnish such services. Such tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents are subject to all terms and conditions of the respective suppliers (some of them may limit or exclude the supplier’s liability). We are not responsible for any loss of or damage to property or death or injury to persons, resulting from any act or omission of any supplier providing any tour service or any other person or entity or caused by strike, war, weather,
quarantine, sickness, government restriction or regulation, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control, including supplier’s decision to withdraw and/or cancel a tour for any reason. The tour participant expressly waives all rights, which he or she may have against us in connection with the foregoing. Under no circumstances are we to be construed
as a carrier under contract for safe carriage of the passenger or his or her baggage and belongings. We reserve the right to remove a client from a tour at our sole discretion.
All matters concerning these tours and services shall be governed by, and administered and interpreted according to the laws of the State of New Hampshire (without regard to conflicts of laws principles). Any unresolved dispute or controversy arising under or
in connection with the services we provide shall be settled exclusively by arbitration, conducted before the American Arbitration Association in Boston, Massachusetts, in accordance with the rules of that body then in effect. In addition, the arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating
to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to a claim that all or any part of this contract is void or voidable. The arbitrator shall not have the authority to add to, detract from, or modify any provision hereof nor to award punitive damages to any injured party. A decision by the arbitrator shall be final and binding. Judgment may be entered on the arbitrator’s award in any court having jurisdiction. Each party shall be responsible for the respective fees and expenses of their legal representation and the costs of arbitration shall be shared equally.
Legal proceedings against us may be instituted only in a state or federal court within the State of New Hampshire, and any claim involved in such proceedings shall be decided in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire. Any legal proceeding against us must be commenced within one year following the date of tour completion. Neither Alexander+Roberts nor any affiliate shall in any case be liable for other than compensatory damages, and you hereby waive any right to punitive damages.
UNITED STATES TOUR OPERATORS ASSOCIATION $1 MILLION TRAVELERS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Alexander+Roberts, as an Active Member of USTOA, is required to post $1 Million with USTOA to be used to
reimburse, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program, the advance payments of Alexander+Roberts customers in the unlikely event of Alexander+Roberts bankruptcy, insolvency or cessation of business. Further, you should understand that the $1 Million posted by Alexander+Roberts may be sufficient to provide only a partial recovery of the advance payments received by Alexander+Roberts.
