DAY 1 | Welcome to Manaus
On arrival, you’ll be met and escorted
to Villa Amazonia, our charming boutique hotel in the heart of town.
DAY 2 | Board the Tucano
After a leisurely morning, you’ll be escorted to the pier to board our river vessel. Delight in the passing scenery as the Tucano begins its voyage along the Rio Negro and through the 400 islands of Anavilhanas, the world’s largest freshwater archipelago. Later, you might join our expert naturalists to explore the dense forests – alive with squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys and colorful exotic birds. meals b+l+d
DAY 3 | The Rainforest’s Diversity The Tucano is equipped with launches that allow for deeper exploration into the verdant foliage of the jungle. This morning, set out to explore the Igapó, a flooded eco-system of dense forests rising from the dark swirling waters of the Rio Negro. Later, a hike through
a high Amazon forest reveals a very different, much drier environment. Animals like the peccary and jaguar are elusive, but our naturalists are adept at spotting and pointing out evidence of their passing – from spoor and prints to markings of their territory.
