After breakfast, our exciting safari flight takes
us across the northern reaches of Tanzania.
On arrival at Serengeti National Park , we’ll continueoverlandtoLemalaKuriaHills.Close to the Mara River in the main corridor of the Great Migration, our luxury camp is ideally located for superior game viewing in the days ahead. After lunch and time to settle in, we’ll embark on our first afternoon game drive.

SEP22 | OnsafariintheSerengeti Awe-inspiring in its beauty, the Serengeti is also renowned for its extraordinary concentration of plains game – including of course the Big Five – so our morning and afternoon safari drives promise to be heart-pounding and inspiring. Now in early September, during the Great Migration River Crossings, our luxury Serengeti lodge is perfectly positioned for the unfolding drama as thousands of wildebeest and zebra mass on the banks of the Mara River in preparation to ford its currents. meals b+l+d

The Serengeti boasts an enormous variety of exotic birds, horned bovines, ungulates, wild dogs and big cats. After breakfast and again this evening, you’ll set out with our expert safari guide on game drives that promise up-close unobstructed wildlife viewing.
If you wish, you can add an early morning Hot Air Balloon Adventure! Take to the skies as the sun casts its first rays over the golden expanse of the Serengeti – and gaze down as the animals greet another day. Then touch down for a Champagne breakfast before joining your fellow travelers for this morning’s game drive. meals b+l+d

Early this morning, we’ll take you to Park Headquarters to register for today’s Gorilla Trek. After a briefing, enter the park to begin this unforgettable adventure. There are about ten gorilla families habituated to human contact and their movements will determine the duration of your trek. Start at an altitude of 6,500 feet, and trek along densely forested slopes to catch up with your assigned family. After locating them, you’ll have about one hour to watch quietly as they go about their daily routine. Retrace your steps down the volcanoandreturntothelodge. mealsb+l+d
SEP 26 | To Kigali or add a second trek After breakfast, we’ll return to Kigali to explore the capital. Mingling with city residents at a market and joining them at a local café offer an authentic experience of life. At the Kigali Genocide Memorial, we’ll learn more about the country’s turbulent history and the tragic events of 1994. Then check in to the deluxe Kigali Serena Hotel for your final night.
