Welcome to Dubai

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and escorted by private car to the deluxe Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel. Along the way, our friendly driver guide will provide you with a fascinating introduction to the city.

Discover Dubai

This morning, you’ll join a group of likeminded travelers for a shared group tour of Dubai. You’ll see the city’s most iconic architectural landmarks including the oft-photographed Burj Al Arab Hotel and the magnificent Majlis Al Ghorfat, the former summer residence of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al-Maktoum. Drive past modern palaces and stop at the Jumeirah Mosque. Then head over to the historic Bastakia district to see the city’s old wind tower houses and continue on to the 200-year-old Al Fahidi Fort. Cross Dubai Creek in a traditional abra to visit the famous gold and spice souks before returning to your hotel.  Meals B

Dubai to Nairobi

You’ll be escorted to the airport today for your flight to Kenya where at Nairobi’s International Airport, you’ll enjoy our VIP Meet & Greet… Upon arrival, you’ll be personally assisted with all immigration and customs formalities and escorted to the Fairmont Norfolk Hotel, a luxury landmark. [Note: The flight from Dubai to Nairobi can easily and affordably be arranged as part of your international flight from the USA.]

Into the Masai Mara

Visit the Giraffe Center and the Daphne & David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where the care of orphaned elephants and rhinos is just part of their decades-long conservation work. Enjoy lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant before a short flight brings you deep into the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the few places on the Continent where you can see big game in the same super-abundance that existed a century ago. You’ll be met at the airstrip for a transfer and game drive en route to the Fairmont Mara Safari Club. Meals B,L,D

Ballooning over the Masai Mara

Arise early this morning for one of the world’s most unforgettable experiences. Take to the skies in a hot air balloon at dawn and float silently above the golden game-filled expanse of the Masai Mara, home to the “Big Five” and large herds of herbivores... and their predators! Embark on an early morning game drive before flying to Nairobi. After lunch at Dorman’s Café, enjoy a game drive en route to Amboseli National Park – set against the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro! Explore Amboseli National Park

Your morning game drive in the early light is a great time to observe the animals and to experience the majesty of Africa’s tallest mountain. Through the Great Rift Valley into Tanzania

Journey into northern Tanzania for lunch in Arusha and continue across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. Although not large, Lake Manyara is one of the prettiest and most wildlife-rich parks in the country. Check in to the luxurious Lake Manyara Serena Lodge and enjoy a thrilling evening game drive. This park is especially famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions that drape themselves in the shady branches of the umbrella tree. Meals B,L,D

Ngorongoro Conservation Area c

Set out on an early morning safari drive followed by breakfast and a visit to a nearby school. At the conclusion of your safari, an included flight takes you 25 miles into the Indian Ocean to Stone Town on the isle of Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and escorted to the deluxe Zanzibar Serena Inn, marvelously situated on the seafront of ancient Stone Town and flanked by an exotic mix of Sultan’s palaces, Portuguese forts and colorful harbors.
