An unforgettable morning unfolds as you leave the city behind to explore the wild beauty of the Cape Peninsula. Travel along the Atlantic seaboard through the pleasant coastal suburbs of Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton. Next up, the journey along Chapman’s Peak 2,000 feet above the ocean is considered by many to be one of the most spectacular coastal drives in the world!
Continue into the Cape of Good Hope National Park, where the unique Fynbos vegetation provides prime habitat for zebra, bontebok, ostrich and inquisitive baboons. Reaching the iconic Cape Point Lighthouse, you’ll ascend by funicular to take in the captivating views of False Bay. Stop by Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins, before sitting down to a delightful seaside lunch.
In the afternoon, your journey continues along the coast into the Constantia Winelands. With the first vines planted in 1685 at the direction of Simon van der Stel, first Governor of the Cape, this lovely pastoral region is the oldest viticulture region in the Southern Hemisphere. There are both centuries-old vineyard homesteads as well as new, stylish boutique wineries. Depending upon the preferences of our guests, our in-the-know guide will arrange a couple vineyard visits and wine tastings. Back in Cape Town, your final evening is at leisure to enjoy and dine as you wish. Meals B+L
