Chitabe Camp borders the famous Moremi Game Reserve, in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Chitabe Camp has all the scenery you would expect to enjoy on a luxury African safari - open floodplains, waterways, marshlands, dry acacia and mopane woodlands, riverine areas and open grasslands. The wildlife in this breathtaking mix of the Okavango Delta is as diverse as it is prolific: from elephant to impala and lion to wild dog. The luxuriously furnished tents are built on elevated wooden decks under a lush tree canopy.
Nestled in a magnificent riverine forest, Xigera Camp epitomises the region: a tranquil true Okavango Delta experience. Xigera Camp feels like a place apart, a blue-green bubble in which birds sing and baboons bark, people laugh and glide by on mokoro. Each tent looks out over water that idles dreamily past, undisturbed by the urban cacophony of modern living. Ten beautifully appointed tents are set on a island in the heart of the great Delta.
This intimate luxury camp built on raised boardwalks sits under a shady grove of trees overlooking the hippo-filled waterways of Linyanti. DumaTau means 'roar of the lion', yet it is its high concentrations of elephant and outstanding wildlife in general for which it is renowned. Located close to the source of the Savute Channel, in the vast Linyanti Concession in northern Botswana, waterways around DumaTau Camp lure a plethora of wildlife - particularly in the dry winter months.
Toka Leya Camp is hidden on the banks of the Zambezi River in the western sector of the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, upstream from Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Toka Leya Camp consists of 12 safari-style tents, each en-suite with a view of the magnificent Zambezi River and some of its islands. The camp's dining and bar area is set beneath a shaded canopy of trees overlooking the River and a swimming pool.
Mombo Camp has just nine luxurious tents that are raised on stilts to offer gorgeous views of the game-filled floodplains surrounding the camp. Property amenities include an outdoor boma for dining under the stars, breathtaking views over Mombo plains and swimming pool in the main lodge. All rooms have en suite bathrooms.
Jao Camp is located on a large, remote island in a private concession in Botswana, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. With varied habitats ranging from waterways and lagoons to dry Kalahari grasslands and open floodplains, Jao Camp can offer both land and water experiences, depending on the current flood levels. Jao Camp has nine individually hand-crafted tents. These twin-bedded canvas and thatched rooms are situated beneath a canopy of shady trees and have en-suite facilities, as well as an outdoor shower for the more adventurous. Built on raised decks, each has a private sala for afternoon siestas and offers wonderful views of the spectacular surrounding floodplains of Botswana. In addition to the lounge and dining area, there are two plunge pools and an outdoor boma for dining under the stars, complemented by wines from an excellent wine cellar. Jao Camp also has a spa where a wide range of massage therapies are offered.
This luxurious camp is located in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, a vast private reserve in the north of Botswana with an abundance of wildlife and a wide variety species. 9 well-appointed tents feature a large bedroom, living room, and private plunge pool. The camp’s spectacular location overlooking the Linyanti River and ox-bow Kings Pool Lagoon enable guests to watch elephant’s at the water’s edge from its expansive raised decks. Completing the camp facilities are a lounge, dining room, communal pool and open air ‘kgotla’ for dining under the stars.
This owner-run Zambian lodge provides stunning views over a sweeping bend on the river, and the staff of the River Club encourages guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Steeped in history, the Lodge saw the settlement of Livingstone as a settler trading post and its evolution to a destination for royal travellers and Hollywood stars—it even served as a gateway for displaced people after World War II. The lodge is set on a 50-acre secure property with manicured gardens and amenities that include a swimming pool, river cruises, tennis, fishing, and a fitness center with jacuzzi and sauna. The 10 guest rooms are decorated with fittings made from Rhodesian teak wood and include wifi internet access, digital safe, and mini-fridge with bottled water.
