Upon arrival at the international airport, you’ll be greeted and personally assisted with all immigration and customs formalities. Then transfer to the 5-star Fairmont Norfolk Hotel. This luxury landmark has been the starting point for many of the world’s great safari expeditions.

Your safari adventure begins this morning at the Giraffe Center, established in 1979 to save the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. At that time, there were only 130 left in the wild. Today, thanks to the Center’s pioneering conservation efforts, there are nearly 500 Rothschild Giraffes in Kenya! Then visit the Daphne & David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where the care of orphaned elephants and rhinos is just a small part of their decades-long conservation work.

Then journey into the Great Rift Valley to the esteemed 3,500-acre Kigio Wildlife Conservancy, home to more than 3,500 heads of wildlife. You’ll arrive at the Kigio Wildlife Camp in time for lunch. Later, you can relax or join an afternoon bush walk or lecture. We’ve also made special arrangements for you to embark on a thrilling night game drive! Meals B,L,D

Enjoy a bush breakfast, weather permitting, and a morning game drive in nearby Lake Nakuru National Park. Though off the main tourist track, this little-visited park is an important sanctuary for black rhino and Rothschild giraffe. It is also well know for greater and lesser flamingoes. Return to your camp at Kigio, where you can join visits to local communities and nature walks. Meals B,L,D

After breakfast at Camp, drive to Mount Kenya and check in around midday at the luxurious Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Situated on the Equator below Africa’s second highest peak, the Fairmont offers magnificent mountain views when the weather is clear. You’ll arrive here in time for lunch and a relaxing afternoon to enjoy the Club’s facilities. Meals B,L,D

This morning you will visit the nearby Sweetwater’s Game Sanctuary, Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary. Enjoy a safari drive with our expert tracker guides and then sit down to lunch at the inviting Sweetwater’s Tented Camp. Return to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club and enjoy the balance of your afternoon at leisure.  Meals B,L,D

After breakfast, you’ll be driven to the Nanyuki Airstrip for your mid-morning flight into the Masai Mara, longtime favorite of travel writers, film makers and seasoned travelers. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and escorted to the 5-star Fairmont Mara Safari Club. Set on a picturesque river bend, your luxurious private tent features a four-poster pillow-top bed, en suite bathroom and your own verandah overlooking the hippo and crocodile-filled waters of the Mara River. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon game drive into the legendary Masai Mara Reserve.  Meals B,L,D

An unforgettable day unfolds here in the National Reserve with expertly-guided morning and afternoon safari drives. The golden grasslands of the Masai Mara – punctuated by Acacia woodlands – stretch to the far horizon where rugged rocky hills shimmer in the distance. This is one of the few places on the African Continent where visitors can see big game in the same super-abundance that existed a century ago. Embark on another thrilling, early morning game drive in the Masai Mara before flying to Nairobi. Enjoy lunch and then travel overland to Amboseli National Park. This magnificent little gem presents the quintessential African landscape – open plains, rolling savannah and picturesque woodlands set against the imposing backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro!  Upon arrival, check in to Ol Tukai Lodge, famed as the best place in the world to observe elephants! Be sure to set your alarm clocks because you won’t want to miss your first morning safari across the dew-touched landscapes of Amboseli! The animals are up with the first light of day, and the early light is one of the best times to experience the full majesty of Africa’s tallest mountain. After lunch, you’ll have time to take full advantage of your Lodge’s pristine setting, nestled between the open plain and Acacia woodland. Enjoy panoramic vistas from The Elephant Bar or take a refreshing dip in the crystalline pool.
