Your private car and driver will transfer you to the airport for your included flight deep into the captivating Finnish Lapland. Upon arrival in Ivalo, you’ll be warmly greeted and chauffeured to the 4-star Hotel Tunturi in Saariselka. Enjoy the balance of this day at leisure and dinner at your hotel. Meals B,D

The barking of enthusiastic dogs will greet your arrival for the start of this unforgettable adventure. Gain fascinating insight into the life and training of these stout-hearted Finnish Huskies from the head musher and then learn the basics and finer points of how to steer the sled and control the dogs before setting out on your journey through the fells of Lapland. With only two guests per sled, you can swap places at the half-way point so each of you have a chance to both steer and just enjoy the ride! There’ll be opportunities to take some great photographs and time to rejuvenate with your small band of adventurers over a cup of coffee around a blazing campfire.

Then travel to the Kakslauttanen Igloo Village to see marvelous ice sculptures created by artists from around the world. You can even try your hand at ice or snow sculpting before sitting down with your fellow travelers to a congenial and hearty dinner in their inviting restaurant, set in a handsome log building embellished with traditional Finnish style. Travel through the Arctic landscapes by snowmobile to a reindeer farm, owned and operated by a local Sámi family. The Sámi are an indigenous Finno-Ugric people who inhabit the Arctic regions of Norway, Sweden and Finland. Spending time with your hosts promises a fascinating and authentic look into their culture and daily life here in the Lapland. You’ll even learn how to throw a Lappish lasso and drive the reindeer herd. Return to your hotel by snowmobile in time for dinner and a free evening to relax. Meals B,D

The day is free to enjoy more of Lapland on your own. There are opportunities to ski, snowshoe or indulge in a massage. This evening after dinner, you’ll head out in a sleigh pulled by reindeer, gliding across the snow deep into the quiet of the night forest. With luck, you’ll even be able to see the magnificent Northern Lights dancing in the skies above. Along the way, you’ll warm up with a cup of traditional Finnish coffee around a crackling campfire! Transfer by private car to Ivalo Airport for your onward flight. Meals B
