After lunch, depart your Lodge after breakfast and visit the Inca Staircase and Sacred Fountain, where you’ll have a chance to sip the sacred waters which the ancient Inca believed would offer eternal youth and happiness! Then take the hydrofoil to Copacabana and continue overland to Huatajata.
Arriving in Huatajata, you’ll visit the Antiplano Museum where a fascinating exhibit sheds light on the ancient cultural traditions of the region’s indigenous Aymara people. Then meet a member of the Kallawaya, an itinerant group of traditional healers who have long lived here in the high Andes Mountains of Bolivia. You’ll gain extraordinary insight into some of the ancient healing methods which they have used for nearly 1,000 years! Tonight you’ll have a chance to observe the constellations of the Southern Sky as your guide shares fascinating Aymara beliefs about the Heavens.
