Buenos Aires City Tour + San Telmo Wine Tasting: With your own chauffeured vehicle and private guide, you’ll discover the city’s most iconic highlights, from the bustling Plaza de Mayo and modern Puerto Madero district to the Casa Rosada where Evita addressed an adoring crowd. Marvel at the impressive mausoleums in Recoleta Cemetery and spend some time in La Boca, the colorful neighborhood where the Tango was born. Admire the street art in the leafy district of Palermo and finish your day in vibrant San Telmo with a tasting of fine Argentine wines.
 
Buenos Aires City Tour + Colón Theater: Drive along Avenida 9 de Julio, one of the widest avenues in the world, and see the towering Obelisk erected in 1936 to commemorate the 400^th Anniversary of the city. Continue in your chauffeured vehicle to Plaza de Mayo, the lively heart of the city. Explore colorful La Boca, the former working class neighborhood where the Tango was born, and visit Recoleta Cemetery. Then join an in-house tour through the Teatro Colón. Opened in 1908, this lavish theater is hailed as one of the finest opera houses in the world.
 
Buenos Aires City Tour + Palacio Barolo: Explore Buenos Aires with your chauffeured vehicle and expert private guide. Showcasing the city’s most important landmarks and neighborhoods, your in-depth sightseeing includes Plaza de Mayo, La Boca, Recoleta Cemetery, the Casa Rosada, San Telmo and Palermo. You’ll also join an in-house tour of Palacio Barolo. Despite its name, this 1923 landmark is actually an office building, famed for a variety of architectural surprises inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, including its division into three sections: Heaven, Hell and Purgatory. Until 1935, this was the tallest building in South America and offers wonderful views over downtown Buenos Aires.

After breakfast, you’ll be chauffeured to the airport for your included flight to El Calafate, gateway to Los Glaciares National Park in the heart of Argentine Patagonia. On arrival, you’ll be escorted to our stylish hotel where you’ll have time to refresh and relax.
 
Then join your private guide to visit the Glaciarium Ice Museum. Behind a striking façade that evokes the face of a glacier, you’ll find interactive exhibits, models, dioramas and photographs designed to entertain and educate visitors about glaciers, the Patagonian Ice Field, and the environmental and climate challenges confronting our planet. This visit promises to be an excellent foundation and introduction for the days ahead as you explore the glaciers and natural landscapes of Patagonia by land and sea. Today’s excursion combines an authentic Estancia experience with the majesty of the Perito Moreno Glacier. The day begins with a scenic drive through the captivating landscapes Los Glaciares National Park to Estancia Nibepo Aike, surrounded by mountains on the shores of Lake Roca. Founded more than a century ago by a Croatian immigrant, the working ranch is still under the ownership and management of his descendants. Learn about the estancia’s history and experience the enduring pioneer spirit of Patagonia’s intrepid founders and the way-of-life of its modern-day residents. Highlighting your visit is a traditional Asado lunch featuring local lamb.
 
Then continue to the pier for a sightseeing cruise through the southern arm of Lake Argentino. From the vessel, you’ll have privileged views of the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier. Stretching 19 miles in length and rising nearly 200 feet above the icy lake waters, the glacier is a breathtaking spectacle of ice, light and sound. Led by your personal guide, you’ll explore along the boardwalks that wind through the native forest to reach a series of panoramic viewpoints. Each offers a different angle of the glacier’s vast, undulating surface—alive with ridges, crevasses and astonishing hues of blue. After breakfast, you’ll be chauffeured to the airport for your included flight to Ushuaia. Situated on Isla Grande in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, Ushuaia is hailed as the southernmost city in the world. On arrival, you’ll be escorted to your 5-star hotel. This evening, we’ll take you to one of our favorite local restaurants to savor the region’s famous king crab, harvested daily from the surrounding Sub-Antarctic waters.  Meals B+D

After breakfast, join your engaging guide to discover the pristine forests, waterways and mountains of Tierra del Fuego National Park. Starting from the End of the World Station, you’ll board a faithful replica of the historic train that carried prisoners from the Ushuaia prison deep into the forest to cut and harvest lumber. The train operated for nearly 40 years during the first half of the 20^th century. Today, the route is a fun and scenic way to discover Tierra del Fuego, from its ancient forests and the Macarena Waterfall to Lapataia Bay.
 
After sightseeing, you’ll have some free time to explore downtown Ushuaia—with your personal guide on hand to offer shopping guidance and restaurant suggestions to enjoy lunch on your own. Then you’ll be escorted to the port to board the Ventus Australis, your home for the next four nights. Settle in to your outside stateroom before meeting your shipboard Expedition Team of trip leaders, guides and lecturers. Get to know your fellow passengers as you set sail along the Beagle Channel and enjoy your first dinner onboard. This morning finds the Ventus Australis navigating the scenic Murray Channel and Nassau Bay toward legendary Cape Horn National Park, where, weather permitting, you'll go ashore at one of the southernmost points on Earth. For centuries, Cape Horn has captured the imagination of sailors and explorers navigating the treacherous waters where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans converge. Dramatic vistas, relentless winds, and abundant seabird colonies—including albatrosses, cormorants, and petrels—create an unforgettable setting here at the End of the World.
 
After lunch onboard, continue to historic Wulaia Bay, once home to one of the largest settlements of the native Yaghan people. Going ashore in small groups, you’ll embark on a guided walk through the Magellanic forest, passing lenga, coigüe and canelo trees before arriving at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the bay. Combining extraordinary natural beauty with the rich history and cultural heritage of Patagonia, today offers a deeper connection to the landscapes and stories that define the southern tip of South America.  Meals B+L+D

Awake to the spectacular scenery of the Beagle Channel as the Ventus Australis sails into the remote western reaches of Tierra del Fuego. You’ll want to be by a window or on deck as you enter Pia Fjord, where snow-capped peaks, rugged mountains and untouched wilderness frame one of Patagonia’s most breathtaking glacial landscapes. Going ashore in small groups with the Expedition Team, you'll follow a scenic trail to a viewpoint overlooking the magnificent Pia Glacier, an immense river of ice that descends from the Darwin Mountain Range to the sea.
 
This afternoon, continue your exploration by Zodiac through narrow fjords and pristine waterways carved by ancient ice. Surrounded by soaring rock walls, you'll journey through these icy waters to the imposing Porter Glacier for a closer look at its shimmering blue ice face. It’s an exciting excursion that reveals the immense scale and untamed beauty of Patagonia’s southern frontier.  Meals B+L+D

This morning's navigation transports you through the scenic Cockburn Channel into the magnificent Agostini Sound, where the glaciers of the Darwin Mountain Range descend from rugged alpine peak, with several flowing all the way to the sea. One of the most pristine wilderness areas in South America, this remote corner of Tierra del Fuego offers a humbling encounter with the raw natural forces that have sculpted the Fuegian channels over millennia.
 
Today, Zodiac boats will bring you to shore for a guided walk around a serene lagoon formed by the meltwaters of Aguila Glacier. Later, continue by Zodiac for a close approach to the towering Condor Glacier, admired from privileged vantage points amid the region's icy waterways. With the deep knowledge of our Expedition Team, you'll gain deeper insight into the formation of glaciers and their powerful role in carving the spectacular geography of the far south.  Meals B+L+D

Your final excursion this morning, weather permitting, finds you on Magdalena Island, home to a large Magellanic penguin colony. Walk among these remarkable creatures, observing their behaviors up close against the wild landscapes of Patagonia. During September and April, today’s excursion will instead take you to Marta Island, where South American sea lions can often be seen lounging along the rugged shores.

After this memorable wildlife encounter, continue to Punta Arenas where you will disembark around noon to find your private car and driver waiting. The scenic journey to Torres del Paine takes around five hours, traveling through the spectacular landscapes of southern Patagonia. On arrival, settle in to your beautifully appointed yurt at the luxury Patagonia Camp, nestled on the wooded shores of Lake Toro at the edge of Torres del Paine National Park.

Guided by the Camp’s experienced staff, you will be able to tailor your stay with the activities that fit your personal interests and taste for adventure. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, scenic drives and shorter excursions offer equally rewarding ways to appreciate this extraordinary landscape.
 
Some of our guests’ favorite excursions include the challenging full-day French Valley trek, that starts with a catamaran ride across the frigid waters of Lake Pehoe toward the base of Cerro Paine Grande. From there, you’ll continue with your guide to explore a segment of the famed W Circuit, hailed by hiking enthusiasts as one of the world’s best multi-day treks. At the other end of the activity-scale, the Milodon Cave excursion is a half-day activity that involves just one-mile of walking to explore the Milodon Cave Natural Monument.
