Along the coast to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee

Discover the city’s modern spirit as you explore the White City of Tel Aviv c. Then visit two amazing sites of antiquity: Caesarea, built by Herod the Great, and Megiddo c, a city inhabited for 5,000 years where you’ll see the excavation of a 3rd-century church. Continue to the Caesar Premier Hotel. Meals B,D

Along the shores and across the Sea of Galilee

Tour Tiberias and enjoy a pleasant boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Then visit Capernaum, where Jesus chose his first disciples, and see the synagogue built on a spot where Jesus once preached. You’ll also visit Tabgha and the Church of Multiplication, the site of Christ’s miracle of feeding the 5,000. Drive on to the Mount of the Beatitudes and the Golan Heights before returning to your hotel in Tiberias. Meals B,L,D

Through the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem

Visit the Wedding Church in Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle and travel on to Nazareth to see the Church of Annunciation. Continue through the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean with its recently excavated amphitheater and then onward to Jerusalem, where you check in to the Dan Boutique Hotel. Meals B

Explore Old Jerusalem c

A holy city for each of the world’s three great religions – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam – Jerusalem occupies a unique place in the world. Your tour includes the Mount of Olives, a stop at the site where Jesus first gave the Lord’s Prayer, and the Garden of Gethsemane. In the Old City you’ll see the Western Wall and the Temple Mount and walk along the Via Dolorosa. At the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, we’ve arranged for you to meet one of the Key Keepers. Hear the fascinating story of how his family came to possess the keys to this holy site. We continue on to Mount Zion, visiting the traditional tomb of David and the Room of the Last Supper, before finishing the day in Bethlehem. Meals B

Discover modern Jerusalem

Today, visit the New City including the Israel Museum – with a detailed model of Jerusalem from the time of the Second Temple – and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Aleppo Codex. Then visit the Yad Vashem Memorial to the Holocaust. This afternoon, we’ve arranged for a visit to Ein Karem, the traditional birthplace of John the Baptist. This evening, thrill to the Sound & Light Show at the City of David. Meals B

Excursion to the Dead Sea and Masada c

En route to the Dead Sea, see the site of the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue to Masada, where you ascend by cable car to visit the hilltop ruins and hear the chilling tale of its brave inhabitants. Nearly 1,300 feet below sea level, our next stop is the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Be sure to bring your swimsuit as you’ll enjoy lunch and time for a swim. Gather with your fellow travelers this evening for a farewell dinner. Meals B,D

Continue to Tiberias and check in to first  Emily’s Boutique Hotel overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Meals B,D
