A magical and humbling experience. The people were so warm and welcoming; I can't imagine having a better guide than James who was knowledgeable & accommodating with a good sense of humor. Seeing wildlife in their natural habitats and viewing the different landscapes were amazing. The lodging (especially the Mpingo Ridge Lodge) and the food were superior. Logistically, everything ran like clockwork. The trip exceeded my expectations.

Amazing safari guide who was so knowledgeable about all the animals and foliage. He had a very good feel for where and when to find particular animals and went out of his way for us. He was patient, easy going and answered all our questions. The Arusha guide was also pleasant and went out of his way to help us. The staff at all the lodges/tent sites were welcoming and helpful. They made us feel comfortable and at home. I was most surprised and pleased that they were aware of my food allergies and prepared separate meals for me when necessary. Trip exceeded my expectations.

Our guide, Felix, was extremely knowledgeable about the flora, the fauna and the local culture and made every sighting "come to life", in a manner of speaking. We saw all the "Big Five" including the black rhino twice (hadn't been spotted in months), and never returned from a game drive without sighting something unusual every single time. And, all that was not just luck. As far as the food and the accommodations were concerned, everything was taken care of from a pin to an elephant. The staff everywhere was super friendly, every meal was superlative (wine/cocktails included), and the accommodations would hardly qualify as "tenting" (flushing toilets, warm water showers and wake-up calls with tea/coffee and cookies delivered to your tent every single morning). Truly a very luxurious experience. Totally worth it!
