The introduction to culture and foods in all destinations exceeded all expectations! WE definitely want to return! And the cherry blossoms were stunning!
Hong Kong was beautiful, and we enjoyed the two days of tours, very different. Tokyo was absolutely wonderful, even though the weather was terrible. The guide was very good, however I think he should have suggested an itinerary change to get us out of the driving rain and cold. But he was very good.
Hakone, and the Japanese hotel were awesome! Although we could not see Mt. Fuji but to the weather, the day was very enjoyable. The hotel was a delight and the food was unbelievable.
Kyoto and ancient history did not disappoint. So much history and absolute beauty. Our guide was very good, we went pretty slow, however, maybe because of the other couple. I think we could have stepped up the pace to see more things. But she was very knowledgable and entertaining, I give her very high reviews. I do think A&R should offer a second day of tours for Kyoto, we had to fill in with Viator, but those tours were very good. Plus the tour for Kyoto provided by A&R was scheduled for the last day there. So for the first full day we were on our own. The tour should be the first full day so that we can get suggestions from the A&R guide for what to do on the free day. I think we wasted some time.
And our self-guided tour of Okinawa was excellent.
