The tour guide was not only very personable, but he was also accommodating and knowledgeable. In addition, I felt very immersed in the culture while touring the country.

The Myanmar private guided tour was one of the best trips my wife and I have ever taken. We have traveled extensively on our own in Europe and have been on many small group tours to more exotic locals like India, Egypt, Vietnam and Africa but this was our first private tour and it was superb. Our guide was terrific and very knowledgeable and it was great having a chauffeured car at each of the four destinations in Myanmar. Bagan and Inle lake were the highlights. Logistics were flawless. The hotels, food and value for money were excellent.

The archaeological temple site at Bagan was over the top - an incredible sight. The guide was FABULOUS and so adaptable to our needs. He was very knowledgeable and was able to provide valuable insight on the things we were seeing/doing, as well as taking us to some amazing and unique shopping/market venues. The welcome dinner at the Strand Hotel was superb. We really enjoyed seeing the monastery and the young monks (children) when we were in Yangon, as well as the Shwedagon Pagoda. Incredible! We enjoyed the interaction with the people of Burma -- so warm and welcoming. Even the domestic air travel was on time and efficient. This is a country in transition and I'm so glad we got to see it now.

My most recent trip with Alexander-Roberts was nothing short of superb. We got to see a multitude of sights, while never feeling rushed. Both from a cultural and scenic perspective, our visit was simply breathtaking and full of added value. Our guide was nothing short of phenomenal. Not only did he take into account our personal preferences, but was able to make personal recommendations which greatly enhanced our trip throughout. Despite the constant change in locales, he made everything work like clockwork in a seemingly effortless manner. His wealth of local knowledge and friendly disposition also made for a exceptionally enjoyable trip. The drivers were also all uniformly professional and helpful. Thanks again to Alexander-Roberts for a trip that more than delivered what was promised. Myself and my traveling companion couldn't have been more pleased, and look forward to taking other trips from your company in the future.

Enjoyed having dinner and lunch with local people, accommodations are always impressive, the gourmet dinners at the Strand Hotel in Yangon and at Inle Lake View Resort, the temples in Bagan, traveling by boat Inle Lake even the first day it poured and my belongings got wet the next day it cleared.
