The number one thing that delighted me about this trip was our guide, Tshering. The goal of our trip was to see the Tiger's Nest. Tsering was very flexible with us. I think he knew when we saw enough temples and came up with other things, not on the itinerary for us to do. He worked with us to assure we were in shape and could handle the altitude for our hike. We were completely thrilled after we completed our hike. That evening Tshering even took me, at my request, to the local craft brewery to try their beers and celebrate. Even though Bhutan beer isn't that great the experience was!

I was most delighted by the itinerary of this trip. We explored the beautiful country of Bhutan with the most excellent guide and driver. We stayed at top-notch accommodations and were absolutely floored by the Bhutanese food! It may be the healthiest, most delicious cuisine I've ever had. Bhutan will always hold a very special place in my heart and this tour truly captured the essence of what makes Bhutan one-of-a-kind.

Bhutan is an amazing country - the gov't conducts a census every 4 years on the population's happiness! Happiness of their people is more important than their GDP. They are the only country in the world that is carbon negative. The country is nothing like it's surrounding country's: Nepal, China, India. It truly is very special. I'm thankful we visited during their annual Tshechu Festival in Paro. We also saw a local festival in Talo that was great to see. Tiger's Nest and Punakha Dzong were special highlights. Our guide Dorji and our driver Yeshey became truly friends - they were exceptional. And once again, all our accommodations along with our itinerary were wonderful - another reason we always book with A & R. And Melanie, you're always such a pleasure to work with - it's always smooth sailing with you and you provide exceptional customer service - thank you!

The guides on this trip through Nepal and Bhutan made this an exceptional experience. Their knowledge and attention to making our adventure special were apparent. The accommodations were superb.
