Korea is modern, well off, very clean, and very Asian, but different from China and Japan, which makes it especially interesting. It’s also very friendly. My wife, myself, and our guide were admiring a 500 year old house in an historic neighborhood when the owner came out and invited us in to drink something refreshing.. we talked for about 45 minutes using our guide as a translator. This, experience, of course, was the high point of our visit to Korea.
