    The itinerary was exceptional, the hotels delightful but our guide was fantastic, professional, thoughtful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Among the best we have ever had.

    This is one of the top trips that I have taken over the years. I especially liked the fact that there were only 4 in our group and we were able to see many added ruins and museums on the tour. The transportation and guide were both excellent. A highlight was having lunch at a local family's home in Bergama. They were so gracious and the woman's cooking was incredible! Though there are problems in Turkey now (immigrants passing through and bombings in Ankara), I was concerned at times about news reports, but I felt safe on the tour.

    The guide (Timur) was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and helpful (such as juggling the schedule to accommodate the hot weather). We particularly enjoyed the diversity of sights, the home-hosted lunch, and the excellent accommodations (mostly). The food was wonderful and Timur found small, authentic restaurants that highlighted local cuisine. Everything about Cappadocia was amazing, including the balloon ride. The Argos Hotel was fantastic - beautiful setting, wonderful staff, great restaurant.

    I was very pleased with my recent trip to Turkey. I think what delighted me most was the small group and the ease in which we were able to visit sites that the large tour bus groups could not. I loved it when we had lunch with a family in Anatolia in a small village. Our total of eight people was the smallest group I have ever traveled with before. It was wonderful.
