Hands down the tour guides - especially Anna Maria. (Although, both were really good - the Lima Meille (sp) female guide and Anna Maria (Cusco). Both were born and raised in their prospective areas and both were super! Ana maria especially, maybe a bit older hence even my educated about her area. And she knew how to "hustle us". Saved us hours of standing in line for a bus (I mean 4 hours!) by getting us up an hour early.
The other thing I liked was the perfect timing of all buses to trains throughout the trip. Seemed hard to schedule and worked perfectly. Hotels were great. The different experiences were great - good combo of big city, small village, museums, current happenings etc. (After 25 years of traveling, I know us North Americans/US can be a pain in the hinny and we didn't disappoint this time either so your guides have the patience of an Angel - I could never do their job.) Very Impressed.
