January 21 through February 8, my husband and I traveled through southern Costa Rica on a custom A&R trip. What a delightful trip. As usual A&R helped us plan unique experiences and provided us with fantastic accommodations. Mike, our Costa Rica contact person, was a gem. We always had answers to our questions, we were never left waiting for transportation, we oohed and aahed as we viewed the magnificent birds and animals and so enjoyed the mahi mahi that the resort prepared for our dinner after my husband caught it that afternoon while 10 miles off the coast. And the people of Costa Rica were absolutely wonderful - so helpful, polite, and personable. Being from the Philadelphia area we wanted to see the Super Bowl - our resort, Hacienda Alta Gracia, went out of their way to be certain we could view it in English! The next day everyone, no matter where we went in the resort extended their congratulations. Our Costa Rican experience was outstanding - so much so we are considering returning next winter and visiting the northern portion of the country.
