We just completed our trip to Egypt and Jordan with Alexander and Roberts. This was on our bucket list for many years, and this truly was the trip of a lifetime thanks to A & R. Every detail was handled perfectly. We opted to do a private tour and had drivers and guides everywhere we went. From the accommodations, to the guides, the drivers, and the river cruise portion of the trip, everything was great. The customer service was over-the-top. I left a pair of shoes at one of the hotels and they went out of their way to get them for me and deliver them to me at the next hotel. The new Grand Egyptian Museum had just opened, and the itinerary was modified so we could visit it. Visiting the pyramids, the temples, the tombs, and museums in Egypt were all wonderful. Some temple visits were at night and they were lit up so beautifully. Visiting Petra and Wadi Rum in Jordan was great too. Having lunch with a Bedouin family was very special and unique.. Many people canceled their trip because of the war in Israel, but honestly if you are thinking about going just do it. While we felt sad for the wonderful people because they were suffering with the lack of tourists, we enjoyed much smaller crowds. Imagine being inside King Tut’s tomb by yourselves. It was magical! We felt completely safe everywhere we went. I also want to compliment the staff we worked with at the A & R office before we went. They answered all our questions and made sure everything was handled to our satisfaction. We can’t wait to book our next trip with A & R.
