DAY 2 | Walking tour in Zagreb Tour the National Theater, built 120 years ago in Neo-Baroque style, and ride the turn-of-the-century funicular to explore Upper Town, including the Cathedral and other landmarks that grace Kaptol Square. A free afternoon is a good chance to explore Dolac, the lively open-air market that has been an important part of city life for more than 80 years. meals b+l+d
DAY 3 | Plitvice National Park Discover the magnificent terraced lakes of Plitvice and delight in a cruise on the largest of these lakes. Continue to Trogir for a guided stroll in this Roman-Gothic town. After a wine and brandy tasting and dinner at a local winery, you’ll check in to the Hotel Luxe in Split. meals b+l+d
DAY 4 | Ancient wonders
Tour the Old City of Split . Set within
the walls of Diocletian’s 4th-century palace, it’s an amazing example of ancient Roman architecture on the eastern Adriatic. After sightseeing, you can explore more of the town’s charming piazzas and lively waterfront at your own pace. meals b+d
