DAY 1 | Welcome to Reykjavik
Meet our engaging guide on arrival to begin
your city tour, from the lively harbor district to the Old Quarter with its traditional wooden homes. Take in the views from the innovative glass-domed Pearl building and see the historic Hofdi House where Reagan and Gorbachev met in 1986. Then learn all about the Aurora Borealis at the Northern Lights Center. After dinner, retreat to your modern Superior Guestroom at the stylish Apotek Hotel, set in a 1907 landmark building in the heart of town. meals b+d
DAY 2 | Akureyri + Northern Fjords Fly to Akureyri and spend 3 nights at the

Set out to explore this wildly beautiful part of
Iceland, visiting several countryside churches for insight into Iceland’s ancient Christian heritage. Enjoy lunch at a cafe set on a working farm and delight in local hospitality as we introduce you to area residents – an authentic cultural experience you won’t find on other tours. DAY 4 | Godafoss + Lake Myvatn
Thrill to the mighty cascades of Godafoss and hear the old Norse legend of how they earned their name – Waterfall of the Gods. Exploring the area’s lava pillars, steaming fumaroles and an underground river at the Grjotagja Rift offers insight into the island’s geology. Enjoy a farm-fresh lunch of local specialties and soak in the soothing warm waters of Lake Myvatn. A tour of the Sigurgeir’s Bird Museum will teach you about the island’s unique avian species. meals b+l+d
DAY 5 | Fly back to Reykjavik
Fly back to Reykjavik and check in once again

DAY 6 | Explore the Golden Circle Discover Thingvellir National Park   , a
fascinating geological site where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. See the world’s oldest democratic Parliament, founded more than 1,000 years ago, and
thrill to one of Iceland’s most active geysers. Behold the beautiful Golden Waterfall and
see Icelandic horses at a family-owned farm before sitting down to lunch. Then visit a skyr facility to sample Iceland’s unique yogurt. End your day at the famed Blue Lagoon, soaking in geothermal waters that originate more than 6,000 feet below ground! meals b+l
