Upon arrival at the Bagdogra Airport, you’ll be met by your private car and driver. From here, a scenic 4-hour drive into the Himalayan foothills brings you to Darjeeling, one of India’s most well known hill stations. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel of your choice: The first class Mayfair Hotel or the deluxe Windamere, an historic landmark originally established in the 18^th century as a boarding house for English and Scottish tea planters. In addition to experiencing some of these myriad delights at your own pace, we’ve arranged a private excursion for you to explore a bit of the region’s history and culture at a nearby tea plantation and factory. After breakfast, join your guide for a private sightseeing tour of the city’s highlights, including the beautiful Botanical Gardens and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. At the Darjeeling Zoo, you’ll see some of India’s exotic wildlife including the Royal Bengal tiger and endangered snow leopard.  Meals B,L,D
