Cancellations & Changes

Alexander+Roberts (A+R) offers a Travel Protection Plan that provides protection for your travel arrangements, your belongings and most importantly, you! We encourage all travelers to purchase a Travel Protection Plan. Click here for information on our Travel Protection Plan.

A minimum $50 fee will be charged for any change made to your itinerary. Changes are considered canceled services and additional cancellation penalties may apply. Changes are subject to additional airline or hotel charges based on availability and may incur airline-imposed fees. Changes from double to single occupancy incur a single supplement.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any departure for any reason. If we cancel, we will offer alternate arrangements or refund the amount received. We cannot assume responsibility for any additional costs for air tickets or other travel arrangements not made by us.

A minimum of 2 passengers is needed for a guaranteed departure to travel. Our small groups travel with no more than 16 travelers on land. Our small ships carry 44 - 200+ passengers; more than 16 Alexander+Roberts guests may be on-board; more than 16 travelers may be on shore excursions.

Changes To Our Programs

2019 hotels and itineraries may differ from the 2020-2021 programs presented on our website or brochure. We will make every effort to operate tours as disclosed on this website, but circumstances may arise which require modification of itineraries, hotel substitution, changes in transportation, inclusions or staff accompanying the trip. We reserve the right to make modifications. Because waterways can be affected by weather conditions, alternate programs may be arranged by the cruise companies without notice. Normal cancellation penalties still apply to the program that has been changed.

On Tour

There is no smoking on any transportation. Disabilities requiring special attention must be reported when making reservations. We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate special needs but cannot provide individual assistance. Tours require walking over uneven surfaces and you assume responsibility for your personal safety. Should issues become apparent on tour that impact other travelers, we may require individual assistance be obtained or require the traveler to return home early. Any expenses for assistance or early return will be the responsibility of the traveler without refund for unused services.

Activities, lodges, and camps may require a signed liability waiver. We are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, and other independent suppliers.

Visa & Passport Information

Click here for information on obtaining your visas.

A U.S. Passport valid for six months upon return to the U.S. is required of all guests. As passport processing can be unexpectedly delayed, we recommend using Pinnacle Travel Document System for new or renewal applications. It is each traveler’s responsibility to obtain their required visas. Visa requirements vary according to the nationality of the passport holder. For travelers who are not citizens of the United States, please consult Pinnacle Travel Document System or the embassy of your destination country for visa requirements. For those who wish complete visa assistance, Pinnacle Travel Document System can provide documentation services. Forms are available at https://www.pinnacletds.com/alexanderroberts. Application timing and processing vary greatly, so please check on-line early for visa requirements.

South Africa requires 3 unused visa pages available in your passport.
Jordanian visas are not issued upon arrival at the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge land border crossing.

Visas secured upon arrival may require that you carry 2 or more passport photos. Please consult your documents before departure.

Please note that visa requirements and charges are subject to change, and should be confirmed at the time of booking. Alexander+Roberts is not responsible for the refusal or delayed processing of visas and passports by Consular offices and normal cancellation charges will apply.

The arbitrator shall not have the authority to add to, detract from, or modify any provision hereof nor to award punitive damages. A decision by the arbitrator shall be final and binding. Judgment may be entered on the arbitrator’s award in any court having jurisdiction.
