• Day 1 - Welcome to Kyoto

Or select the Yoshi-ima Ryokan and experience the warmth and hospitality of this traditional Japanese inn, owned by the same family for generations here in the city’s historic Gion quarter – where Geisha and Kabuki traditions began centuries ago.
  • Day 2 - Morning city tour

    Your morning sightseeing tour explores the city’s most significant sites, starting with the oft-photographed Kinkaku-ji Templec; this Golden Pavilion shimmers in its tranquil setting surrounded by pine forests on the edge of a peaceful pond. Then enter into the Age of the Samurai at Nijo Castlec. Marvel at the ingenuity of the famed Nightingale Floor, cleverly designed to chirp in warning if intruders gained entry into the Shogun’s quarters! Visit the Kyoto Imperial Palacec and end your sightseeing at the Kyoto Handicraft Center. Meals B

    [Note: The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays and certain other days throughout the year. On these days, your morning city tour will visit Nishi Honganji Temple instead of the Imperial Palace.]
