Over Mt. Everest... Then into Kathmandu

Thrill to a flight-seeing excursion to view Mt. Everest (weather permitting). After breakfast back at the hotel, your city tour includes Durbur Square and Hamuman Dhoka, the ancient royal quarter. Then travel to Patan, founded in 250 AD and revered for its traditional architecture. Visit the Golden Temple and ascend to the world’s oldest Buddhist shrine for sweeping views over the Kathmandu Valley. Tonight, enjoy fine Nepalese cuisine and dance. Meals B,D

Fly to Pokhara... Gateway to the Annapurna Range

Set on the shores of Lake Phewa and surrounded by picturesque snow-capped peaks, the gateway to the Annapurna Range is one of the most spectacular towns in the Himalayan foothills. Upon arrival in Pokhara, transfer to the Shangri-La Village and enjoy a guided tour in this captivating town. Meals B

Walk to the village of Pumdi

Drive to nearby Kalimati to begin your day walk into the Himalayan foothills. An invigorating 45-minute ascent along well-maintained trails is rewarded with spectacular views of Pokhara and towering Fishtail Peak. Take a break along the ridge-top at a small Buddhist monastery and enjoy the panorama of Phewa Lake and the Annapurna Range in the distance. Continue through remote highland villages and along terraced paddy fields to Pumdi for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, begin your one-hour descent to Phewa Lake. Enjoy a relaxing 45-minute boat ride across the lake and then return to your hotel. Meals B,L

Overland to Royal Chitwan National Park c

Set out on a scenic drive into the central lowlands of southern Nepal and check in to the Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge. Encompassing dense forests, water marshes and rippling grassland, Chitwan National Park is one of the last refuges of the highly endangered one-horned Indian Rhino. In addition, there are healthy populations of tigers, leopards and other jungle wildlife. After time to refresh, embark on an afternoon game-viewing safari by jeep. This evening, attend an informative lecture by the Lodge’s resident naturalist. Meals B,L,D

Explore Chitwan National Park

Enjoy a full day of thrilling safari excursions by jeep, exploring the Park’s diverse landscapes and exotic wildlife with our expert trackers. You might also join a guided birdwatching expedition or spend time in one of the Park’s game-viewing blinds. Meals B,L,D

Back to Kathmandu

Enjoy another guided, early morning foray into the jungle before transferring to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and escorted back to the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Meals B
