This tour and itinerary really delivered in all respects – well thought out tour sequence; great and very, very experienced safari guides/ drivers – Anthony, John, Wolfgang and Steven; comfortable spacious accommodations; a good variety of included meals and comfortable Landcruiser transport. We were fortunate to see the Big 5 in our 1st 2 days in the Maasai Mara and again towards the end of the tour. We really enjoyed all the accommodations but the Lemala Ngorongoro camp and cook were really great, even the hot bucket showers (in the privacy of your own spacious tent). The Maasai Mara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti were spectacular with both the variety and quantity of animals. Highlights were many, especially when we and our tour partners kept saying “Can it get any better?” It did, every day. Some of those highlights – a Cheetah with her 6 cubs; a Lioness carrying one of her very young cub by the scruff of her neck to shelter; 3 male lions chasing 4 younger males out of their territory and then getting up and personal with our Landcruiser; a Balloon ride that saw us swooping down and over herds of Zebra and Wildebeest; Hippos galore; a Leopard eating her kill in a tree and the Migration of thousands of Wildebeest across the Mara river. There were long days but worth it when one considers all the animals that were seen.
