Robert from TX gives this tour
The entire tour was amazing although I loved the Umbrian region of central Italy. The views were breathtaking, the wines were fantastic and the history of the region was enlightening. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and easily understandable and our driver (Vanni) was unbelievably attentive.
The Vatican and Rome were enjoyable but as the attractions are more widely known and crowded it felt as if you had to move along and not linger although we were able to see a lot in a few days. The architecture alone makes this worth the visit and the visit to Castel Gandolfo is a must do.
Tuscany was just as was expected. The countryside, the wines, the food were all excellent. Florence, with the Duomo, the works of Michelangelo as well as many other classical artists had many sites to behold. The ability to walk and see so many of the famous sites in the city was surprising. You really did not need any transportation within the city.
