The ability of the guide and driver to adapt the activities and time spent at different locations to the specific interests and capacities of our group was outstanding. The knowledge of our guide about all aspects of NZ culture, history, topography and flora/fauna was exceptional

This was our fourth trip with Alexander & Roberts and it did not disappoint. Our tour of Spectacular New Zealand was a great sampling of the south island. It fit our type of travel activity. We can't give our guide, Jan and driver Mark, enough kudos! They were both local and not only had knowledge about the country but also knew of special gems along the way. For example, our long bus ride from Queenstown to Milford Sound was broken up with a couple of short hikes in the Fiordland National Park..it was perfect. The "off the beaten track" stay in the quaint town of Clyde and the inn we stayed in were charming. Our stargazing at Mt. Cook was incredible! To see the Milky Way and stars through the telescopes was "out of this world". The Australian package A+R put together for us was perfect. The transfers were seamless, the hotels were in perfect locations for walking and the tours were exactly what we wanted. To walk the base of Ayers Rock fulfilled a lifetime dream. Our dinner cruise in Sydney Harbor with the six course meal and wine pairings was the perfect way to end our trip. Thank you Alexander and Roberts for another marvelous travel experience!

The guide, John, and driver, Stephen, were absolutely outstanding - two of the best ever. The beauty of New Zealand, particularly Milford Sound, the mountains and rolling green pastoral landscape. Great group of fellow travelers on board that were timely and well traveled.

Our Special Departure March 23, 2020

Join us for a very special departure highlighted by an overnight cruise into Doubtful Sound, deep in the World Heritage Fiordland National Park. Named by Captain Cook in 1770, Doubtful is larger and less accessible than the better-known Milford Sound. Aboard the Fiordland Navigator, purpose-built to explore these remote waters, our exploration of Doubtful Sound promises rich discoveries enjoyed by few other visitors. Behold the sheer rock walls of the Sound, lush with vegetation, and set out in a kayak or on our ship’s tender craft to search for dolphins, seals and penguins. Experienced naturalists are there to enhance every moment in this untouched wilderness of mountain peaks, fiords and rainforest.

We include private en suite accommodations with dinner and breakfast onboard.
