Journey to Zaragoza for a walking tour in this ancient city on the banks of the Ebro River. Founded 2,000 years ago, it’s rich with the architectural legacy of Roman, Moorish, Jewish and Christian communities. Its stunning Mudéjar churches c are a harmonious blend of these Islamic and European traditions. Join your guide in two of his favorite tapas bars for a light lunch and then continue to Santo Domingo de la Calzada. Today is devoted to the captivating sites of the city including Jeronimos Monastery, a splendid example of Portugal’s distinctive Manueline architecture, and the Belém Tower c, built in 1515. Ride aboard the historic electrico tram and pause to sample Lisbon’s most famous treat, Pasteis de Belem, in the original shop where it was created. Tonight’s farewell dinner will be in one of the city’s oldest restaurants. Meals B,D
